Event Details

Mark you calendars for a Healthy Habitat Species Identification Workshop. We will learn about identifying species, what a field survey is, how to log a species, even how to mark a species on a GPS, and why you would use a GPS.

Lunch will be provided and ice cream to wrap up the day! Registration is required so that we can have enough food ready for everyone. Please register each person who will be staying on site for the event including adults and children of all ages.

This Workshop will be an introduction to our God's Great Earth summer camp. We will systematically explore the Five Families of Creation: Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae, and Animalia.

We will be working in a wildlife area and there is always a chance of encountering snakes, poison ivy and other dangers. Please be sure to wear appropriate clothing including close-toed shoes. A limited number of rubber boots will be available, and families are highly encouraged to bring their own if they have them. Long pants are recommended. Mosquito spray and sun screen are also recommended!

Please note that students who will be on site must have a current Medical Release Form & Family Registration Form on file with the EE office. Students who have been enrolled in a class during the past 12 months will already have a form on file. You may print these forms and fill them out ahead of time by using the links above. Additional forms will be available at the registration table for new students. Forms must be signed by a parent.
